The Coated Panel system consists of pre-coated panels and fire rated coating. The 1200 x 600mm mineral fibre panels are available in two thicknesses coated on one, or both sides, to provide fire protection from one hour up to 4 hours.
The Coated Panels are cut to fit the opening and friction fitted into position. The fire rated coating is used as an adhesive to fix panel sections into position, coat panel joints and paint service penetrations (100mm from both faces) to complete the harrier. The fire rated coating is flexible and able to accommodate movement of services and assures a smoke-tight seal.
If installed into a horizontal opening the Coated Panel system will not accommodate foot traffic. PFC Corofil Fire Stop Compound must be used. for this application.
