SEAI Insulation Grants — What You Can Claim in 2026
Government grants now cover a large share of the cost of insulating your home. Here's what's available, who qualifies and how we help you claim it.
How SEAI insulation grants work
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers fixed-amount grants to help homeowners insulate their homes under the Better Energy Homes scheme. In 2026 these grants increased significantly — for many homes, attic and cavity wall insulation grants now cover roughly 80% of the typical cost. There are three simple rules: your home must have been built and occupied before 2011, the work must be done by an SEAI-registered contractor (like us), and you must have grant approval before work starts.
