How SEAI insulation grants work

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers fixed-amount grants to help homeowners insulate their homes under the Better Energy Homes scheme. In 2026 these grants increased significantly — for many homes, attic and cavity wall insulation grants now cover roughly 80% of the typical cost. There are three simple rules: your home must have been built and occupied before 2011, the work must be done by an SEAI-registered contractor (like us), and you must have grant approval before work starts.

How we make claiming simple

You can apply yourself and manage the project with a registered contractor, or have a One Stop Shop manage everything. We'll tell you the current grant for your house type before you commit to anything.
